Harmonia - Brown Freshwater Pearl Coin Hoops in 14K Gold-Filled

I made these hoops, along with their matching necklace as a gift to my mom on her birthday. The pearls are so lustrous that their shimmer varies from copper to green. Not only do they look incredibly chic for any occasion, but they are so light that they can easily be worn on an everyday basis.

These hoops are named after Harmonia, the Ancient Greek nymph of the Akmonian Wood near Thermiskyra - the legendary land where Amazones are said to have lived on the Black Sea coast of Anatolia. Loved by Ares, the God of Battle, Harmonia gives birth to the first generation of Amazonian women.

CARE:
Freshwater pearls need moisture from your skin and contact with air to preserve their color and nacre. So do not store them in airtight containers. If necessary, gently wipe them with a damp cloth and make sure to completely dry after. Do not store with other items that might scratch them. Do follow the “last on, first off” rule and minimize exposure to perfumes, lotions and sprays.

Gold-filled jewelry is made with 14K gold coating up to 100 times thicker than traditional gold-plating. Not only it is a less costly alternative to solid gold, but it is actually more durable. It is water-resistant and will look shiny and new even with decades of wear. Clean your gold-filled jewelry with mild soap and water, then pat dry.
