I'm Deniz!

Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkiye - I started making my own jewellery in middle school. Yet it wasn’t until I passed on two careers, moved to Canada and been through the pandemic I decided to take it up professionally.

 

So I started Atelier Ayana in 2021. One year later I’d finished the “Jewellery Essentials” program at George Brown College. I could finally give life to my visions.

 

The way I see it, jewellery is intimate and it is expressive: it touches literally and figuratively in a way that not much else does. Therefore its value lies not merely in its material or stylistic value, but also in the the way a certain piece touches the wearer. 

 

I love making dainty, versatile and fun pieces for all day and the everyday. A quality piece should carry you from daytime to evening with little to no fuss.  

 

I also aspire to make mindful jewellery: holistic pieces that to help you feel protected, loved, supported: so you feel great inside and out all day and every day.
