Limnaee - Freshwater Pearl Hoops in 14K Gold-Filled or 925 Sterling Silver

This pair of hoops are named after Limnaee, a naiad-nymph of a lake in India and the daughter of the river Ganges.

As pearls are not mined as most other gemstones, but collected from oysters in water, it was only appropriate to name the Atelier Ayana line of freshwater pearls after "naiads," Ancient Greek freshwater nymphs that presided over springs, lakes and rivers.

These rings are light, chic and versatile: They are great for office-wear, also perfect as bridesmaid jewelry or for a night out with girls.

CARE:
Freshwater pearls need moisture from your skin and contact with air to preserve their color and nacre. So do not store them in airtight containers. If necessary, gently wipe them with a damp cloth and make sure to completely dry after. Do not store with other items that might scratch them. Do follow the "last on, first off" rule and minimize exposure to perfumes, lotions and sprays.

Gold-filled jewelry is made with 14K gold coating up to 100 times thicker than traditional gold-plating. Not only it is a less costly alternative to solid gold, but it is actually more durable. It is water-resistant and will look shiny and new even with decades of wear. Clean your gold-filled jewelry with mild soap and water, then pat dry.
