Moissanites are naturally found in meteorites and are incredibly rarely found on earth. This is the reason why almost all the moissanite in the market is man-made. They require fewer resources for production and thus are more environmently friendly, as well as more affordable in comparison to diamonds. In addition, they have a slightly stronger "fire" than diamonds due to their slightly higher refractive index.Â
This is why I use moissanites as a budget-friendly alternative to diamonds as April birthstones. (It is a great gift for people whose zodiac sign is Aries or Taurus.)

Clean your pendant with soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. Refrain from using chemicals, abrasives or heat. Do not clean in ultrasonic cleaners. Do not store them with other items that may scratch. Always put your jewelry on last when getting ready, after putting on lotions and perfumes and take off first when getting undressed.Â
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes when exposed to humidity, perspiration, cosmetics and other chemicals. It is best to put your sterling silver jewelry on last and take it off first. Best stored in an airtight container and polished occasionally with the polishing cloth provided to remove the oxidization.
Gold-filled jewelry is made with a 14K gold outer layer up to 100 times thicker than traditional gold-plating. Not only it is a less costly alternative to solid gold, but it is actually more durable. It is hypo-allergenic, water-resistant and will look shiny and new even with decades of wear. Clean your gold-filled jewelry with mild soap and water, then pat dry.Â
