Just in: The Bokhcha Collection!
In the olden times, back when suitcases 🧳 weren’t yet a thing, people would carry a bunch of stuff on their back, using one-piece wrappers named “bohça.” (Turkish spelling, pronounced “bohkcha”) Since the Ottoman days, women went from house to house, merchendising some other women everything from bedsheets to jewelry in these bokhcha. We call them “bohçacı kadın,” in other words, a “woman with a bokhcha.” These women were the entrepreneurs of their times (some very well might still exist) and the bokhcha contains so many surprises - you never know what’s going to come out of it!
