In the olden times, back when suitcases 🧳 weren’t yet a thing, people would carry a bunch of stuff on their back, using one-piece wrappers named “bohça.” (Turkish spelling, pronounced “bohkcha”) Since the Ottoman days, women went from house to house, merchendising some other women everything from bedsheets to jewelry in these bokhcha.
